We do not offer drop in rates for non members to skate during open ice. You require membership or to rent ice privately in order to use our ice.

We have Member Hockey for our adult hockey playing members.
Full equipment is required. Goalies are scheduled in advance. Bring a light and dark jersey.
Member Hockey is played Tuesdays 8:00-9:30 pm in July & August

Member Skating Opportunities
There are 4 types of member skating times available. Be sure you know the rules for each type of session and contact the Front Desk to book in your visit. You must book in advance and can do this with the front desk. You can book up to 2 days before your desired skate time.
Our schedule is also posted online for you to view available times.
Make sure you know all the appropriate protocol from our Covid-19 Member Manual and have signed your Member Declaration before your first visit.
General Skate times are set aside for the enjoyment of members. There are no sticks or pucks allowed on the ice at these times and children under the age of 7 must be supervised by an adult. Please check the skating schedule for General Skate Times.
General Hockey times are set aside for the enjoyment of members. Sticks and pucks are allowed on the ice during these times, skaters are required to wear a helmet and children under the age of 7 must be supervised by an adult. Pick up hockey is not allowed during General Hockey. This ice is not meant to run a practice session with multiple people. No pylons or other equipment is permitted. If you are looking to run a skills practice session, you can rent ice privately. Please check the skating schedule for General Hockey and Open Ice skate times.

Open Ice is shared between all members whether you are just coming for a skate or also bringing your stick and puck. General Skating & General Hockey rules are in effect at these times.
Private Skating Lessons
Interested skaters should contact Jessica to check availability and to arrange lessons. Semi-private small group lessons can be organized when there are 3 or more skaters at similar skill levels. Skaters must wear proper skating attire and some skaters will be required to wear a helmet.
Private Lessons are based on instructor availablilty but take place between the following times:
Tuesdays 3:00-6:30 pm
Thursdays 4:45-6:15 pm
Saturdays 7:00-9:45 am
Saturdays 5:00-6:00 pm (Skate Canada Certified Skaters Only)

Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Interested skaters should contact Jessica to check availability and to arrange lessons.

Must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or client will be charged full session rate. Please phone if you have to cancel, exceptions can be made.

Jessica Barsky - Facilities Coordinator
Debbie Synkiw is passionate and enthusiastic about the sport of skating. She has been teaching skaters for over 30 years ( over 20 years at Winnipeg Winter Club). She has coached competive skaters in singles and dance, recreational skaters, gold test skaters, learn to skate skaters, adult skaters and her new passion teaching power skating.
Debbie, believes in connecting with her skaters, being positive and goal setting.
She also has a Bachelor of Education Degree.
Sarah was a junior competitive skater at the Divisional level and is a quadruple gold test skater. She is now a NCCP Level 2 Professional Coach with over 10 years of experience coaching skaters of all ages both at the Star skate and Sectional level. She has also coached various individuals from the preliminary through the gold test level. Sarah offers private, learn to skate and semi-private lessons as well as teaching (power) skating skills.
