PREAMBLE – PURPOSE AND GOALS
Both Provincial and Federal Health Authorities are strongly advising COVID vaccination for all eligible people. The recent decision made by the Winnipeg Winter Club Board of Governors with regard to vaccinations is based on this expert recommendation and made solely in the spirit of providing our members (including children) as well as our employees and contractors the safest possible environment in which to work, socialize and play. While this move was met with considerable support there were also some concerns raised by members. In light of this, the WWC policy has been refined as provided below. Please note that the COVID situation is fluid and how all health recommendations (including vaccination) are approached by ourselves, businesses, educational institutions and governments will change and policies will need to adapt. Providing a safer environment within the walls of the WWC is the overarching goal and it is with the help of our members that we will attain this.
