The Board of Governors has UNANIMOUSLY voted to CLOSE the Winnipeg Winter Club effective 10:00 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

This is a decision that was made following serious deliberation by the Board, and based on the most current recommendations issued by the Federal, Provincial and municipal health authorities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our communities. At this point there is no higher priority than to be the best corporate citizens that we can be: we must follow the science, taking all steps to support the urgent direction of public health experts and protect the health and welfare of our members, staff and the community at large. There is no definitive date set to re-open, however we will continue to re-evaluate as this pandemic evolves and communicate further information as it becomes available.

We understand and appreciate the impact this has on both our members and the welfare of the Club and its staff.

Registration for Spring Programs will be maintained, but no billings will take place at this time. As well, the member food assessment will be waived for this current period. The Club will not be considering any membership “holds” at this time. Dues will continue to be charged and paid by Members; this is fundamental to the long-term viability and sustainability of our Club and will assist with operations when we return to normallcy.

On behalf of our Board, General Manager and our Club staff, thank you for your understanding and support as we all try to navigate our way during this unprecedented global health crisis. Please take care of yourself, and of one another.
