Our junior squash groups will be on this May long weekend. They will be running on their normal schedule. 

Congratulations to Evan Mancer, who just won the Men's 45+ National Championship in Calgary, Alberta this past week at the Canadian Squash Championships. Mancer defeated Andrew Lynn of BC three games to zero in the final to cap off a great week of squash. This was Evan's 5th national senior title. Way to go Evan! Tom Brown made it to the semi finals in the men's 55+ age group, while defending champion Trevor Borland lost in the quarter finals of the 40+ this year. Hunter Kristjannson and Andrew Thiessen also had great showings in the A division. Congratulations to all on a great nationals!

Our next complimentary starter squash class is this coming Sunday May. 6th from 1:15-2:15pm. At starter squash our participants will learn all the basics they need to get started playing squash. This includes the basic rules, boundaries of the court, scoring  as well as the grip, forehand, backhand and serve. We even provide the racquets and glasses for anyone who needs. The Canadian Junior Nationals took place this past week in Toronto from April. 19th - 22nd. Five of our Winnipeg Winter Club athletes took part. Alex Kirbyson and Owen Borland won the bronze division in the boys under 19 and 13 respectively. Bryce Kristjansson, Will Znidarec and Jordyn Lambert all had strong showing in the boys U17, U15 and girls U19 respectively. Congratulations to all of you and to all of our Winnipeg Winter Club juniors on a successful competitive season.

This week is our transition week between our Winter and Spring junior sessions meaning there are no junior groups this week.
