The 2018 Winnipeg Winter Club Women's Professional Squash Championships presented by MidWest Fence Co. ran this past week at the WWC. The tournament featured international players from Canada, Egypt, Mexico, Pakistan, Japan and Hong Kong. There were great matches and great crowds throughout the tournament. The final contest saw top seed Nadine Shahin of Egypt defeat #3 seed Misaki Kobayashi of Japan by a score of three games to one. Shahin's constant pace and pressure combined with her ability to stretch out in full lunge to pick up seemingly unreachable shots was too much for Kobayashi in the end. More details on the tournament can be found on the Winnipeg Winter Club's website.
