Our next complimentary starter Squash class for our members is this upcoming Saturday, May 6th.

The class runs from 12:15-1:15 pm and all you need is yourself and your work-out clothes, along with non marking indoor court shoes. We will provide the racquets and glasses for anyone who needs. At our starter Squash class, we cover all the basics you need to get started in Squash. This includes the boundaries of the court, the basic rules, scoring as well as how to hold and swing the racquet. The Canadian Junior Girls will be hosting their nationals team trials this May long weekend at the Winnipeg Winter Club and everyone is invited out to watch. The girls will be competing for 4 spots on the national team which will compete this Summer in New Zealand at the World Junior Squash Championships. The weekend will be full of intense, competitive high level play and will even feature one of our own, Hannah Blatt competing to make the team. Play will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the long weekend, May 19th-21st. Come on out to watch and support the girls!


The Winnipeg Winter Club will be hosting the Cardinal Capital North American Racketlon Championships, June 16th-18th. Racketlon is a combination of 4 racket sports: Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Tennis, where you compete against your opponent in a game to 21 in each of the sports. If and when the lead becomes insurmountable, the match is considered complete. This event will feature several international players, as well as one of the best players in North America, The WWC's own Evan Mancer, who will be looking for his first international victory.
