During the first weekend of March, Anika Alexander and Hunter Kristjansson represented Manitoba at the Canadian University Squash Championships. Both players competed well, with Anika Alexander making it all the way to the women's open final before placing second, losing out to Sydney Maxwell of Toronto in four tight games. Hunter Kristjansson won the men's open bronze consolation draw. Congratulations to both.

The Manitoba Open Squash Championships are running this week at the WSRC. The tournament not only features events for our local players but has a professional men's event along with it. The professional event begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday, with all welcome to come out and watch.

Our annual spring break tri racquet camp is running March 25th-29th for kids ages 8-14 years old. At our tri racquet camps, kids take part in 1.5 hours in each of our three racquet sports each day. This includes squash, badminton and tennis. Their day also includes a lunch they get to choose from a menu each morning, as well as ending the day with an hour in the pool.
