There will be no House League this coming Monday, May. 20, with it being Victoria Day. We will be back on the following Monday, May. 27th.

All of our junior programs will be following their regular schedule during the long weekend this upcoming weekend, May 17-19

We have three weeks of tri racquet camps this summer. Weeks two and three in particular are filling up very quickly, so enter now to make sure your child gets in, as both weeks are over half way full. Our tri racquet camps are for kids ages 8-14 and include 1.5 hours each day in each of our three racquet sports of squash, badminton and tennis. Participants also spend an hour in the pool and get to pick their lunch from a menu each morning. We also have a special member price for all of our members. For more information or to register, visit us on our website

Congratulations to all of our WWC members who competed at the recent Canadian Squash Championships in Toronto. Evan Mancer lost in the final of the men's 45+ division, after winning it last year. Andrew Thiessen won the men's A consolation final. And Hannah Blatt finished in 5th place in the women's open division. Hunter Kristjansson and Tom Brown also competed this year in Toronto.

This Sunday, May 12th from 1:15-2:15 pm is our next complimentary starter squash class. Our starter squash takes you through everything you need to get started playing fun recreational club squash. We have all the equipment you will need including racquets and glasses. If you are interested in registering for the class, please contact Trevor by Saturday May 11th at 2pm.

Even though our junior spring session has begun it's never too late for your child to give squash a try. If they are interested in trying out one of our squash groups this spring, please contact Trevor to see which group would be best suited for your child.

Our junior munchkin group and pee wee group for 4-8 year olds is running during our spring session on Saturdays from 11:50-12:30pm. If your little one would like to give it a try, we have the racquets and glasses they can use. We use a variety of junior learning balls for the kids to get started. If you have any questions, or would like to sign up your child for this or any of our junior programs, please contact Trevor or at ext 105

All of our junior spring squash programs are underway this week and it isn't too late to sign your child up. We offer a variety of age groups from our pee wee and munchkin groups all the way to our competitive A group. We also have an intermediate mixed program for new players ages 8-14. If you are interested in registering your child for any of our squash programs, please contact Trevor Borland or at ext 105

Next Monday, April 29th, is our Finals night for our Club Championships. The A singles, B/C singles, D singles and women's D will all be battled for that night. It should be a great night of squash to come down to the squash lounge. Good luck to all of our finalists.

Congratulations to all of our juniors who competed last week in the Canadian Junior Squash Championships which were held in Edmonton, Alberta. 8 juniors from the WWC took part, including: Bryce Kistjansson, Jake Erb, William Znidarec, Mohamed El Zayadi, Liam Mancer, Dorothy Hargraves, Anne Hargraves and Emily Hargraves.

Liam Mancer was victorious in his consolation plate event in boys under 11. Bryce Kristjansson lost in the final of the plate consolation in the boys under 19 event. All of our players performed well and represented Manitoba well at the 2019 Canadian Junior Squash Championships. Congratulations to all those taking part.

Our spring session in the squash department officially gets underway next week, April 22nd. There are a few of our junior programs that have changed times and days so please check our online program guide so you are aware.
