Many parents make the mistake of taking their children out of a regular skating program once they have the abilities to move on to hockey.
Hockey programs excel in teaching you stick and puck handling and teaching you hockey skills but they are not certified skating coaches.
Then as children go through hockey and they are around 8-9 years old parents realize that their child really needs to really improve the skating aspect of their game to be at a similar level to other kids.
Keep your child in their regular skating lessons while they play hockey so they don't have to catch up later!

Reminder that now that we are back to Fall General Skate and General Hockey are scheduled most Saturdays and Sundays on the ice.
Always watch the schedule as it is subject to change due to special events.
During your visit to use the ice just a couple reminders- there are absolutely no sticks and pucks allowed on the ice during our General Skate Time this is a time for recreational skating and please remember that General Hockey is a time to enjoy the ice and come out for a recreational skate with friends and family where you can bring sticks and pucks on at that time to practice sticks handling, shooting etc. but there is no pick-up hockey allowed during these times.
Please respect these rules and the other members sharing the ice with you.

Save the Date: Thursday, December 21st!
