Please review our Tennis Policy, the objective of which is to provide fair access to all Winnipeg Winter Club members and to ensure the highest possible utilization of the courts.

Enjoy tennis year round on our three premiere plexipave indoor courts and four outdoor courts. An active schedule of leagues and clinics for adults and juniors of all levels run on a weekly basis.
A variety of social nights, hitting clinics, recreation programs, competitive junior programs, club tournaments and family fun nights are offered to members.
Free court time is included for casual bookings and drop-in play is available for member use seven days a week. Members have 3 day booking privileges.
Head Professional Peter Otto and his qualified assistants run Junior and Adult Programs. You can take a lesson to hone your skills or practice alone with the ball machine.
There is a program for everyone no matter their age or skill level.
We will provide a clean and safe facility for all our members to enjoy, with the support of our friendly and knowledgeable professional staff. We will provide members of all ages and abilities with quality tennis instruction through a wide range of programs in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We strive to provide a competitive structure that will ensure a healthy and stimulating environment for our young developing players.

Peter Otto - Head Tennis Pro
Peter is in his 6th year as Head Pro at The Winnipeg Winter Club. Peter is also the Provinical Coach and Tennis Manitoba's Technical Director. He belongs to Canadian Tennis Professional association and is completing his Level III Canadian Tennis Coaching Certification. He is one of the traveling coaches for the Jr. Nationals and has been Head Coach for 9 Western and Canada Summer Games Teams where the best results have been Team bronze at the 2009 Summer games and Team Silver at the 2011 Western Canada games. Peter is also in his 12th year as the Head Pro/Manager at Kildonan Tennis Club during the summers.
Peter continues to be among the top doubles players in the province and has won 3 consecutive 40+ National Doubles titles from 2009-2011.

Sean Grassie - Tennis Assistant
Sean has been an assistant tennis pro at the WWC since 2006. Also a competitive curler, Sean won the 2009 Canadian mixed championship and won a bronze medal at the world mixed doubles. A graduate of Creative Communications, Sean is writing a book on the history of the Manitoba Curling Association's annual bonspiel. The book will be out in November, 2012. Since 1996, Sean has been the head pro and manager at the Deer Lodge Tennis Club.
Steven Piotrowski - Tennis Assistant
Steven has been an Assistant Tennis Pro at the Winnipeg Winter Club since 2006, and Kildonan Tennis Club since 2003. He has also been the Athletic Therapist and Personal Trainer for the Canada Games, Western Canada Games, Provincial, and Junior Winter Club Academy Tennis teams. Steven is a Level 1 Tennis Canada certified coach, and enjoys teaching a wide variety of people, from recreational tennis players to elite athletes. Steven has been playing tennis since the age of 5 and has been privately coached by Peter Otto. He has competed in numerous tournaments as an open level player.
Steven obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba in 2005 and is currently completing his Masters Degree in Human Anatomy and Cell Science. Upon completion of his Masters Degree Steven will be applying to medical school. In addition to tennis, Steven has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has played on the Canada Games and the Junior Bison volleyball teams.
Rob Langan- Tennis Assistant
Rob is in his fifth year as Head Tennis Professional at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club and fourth year as an assistant at the Winnipeg Winter Club. He is a Tennis Canada Certified Tennis Instructor with 9 years of experience teaching people of all ages and abilities. Rob is also the Tennis Development Manager at Tennis Manitoba.
Trevor Skidmore- Tennis Assistant
Trevor has been the Assistant Tennis Professional and Assistant Manager at the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club (WLTC) for the past 3 years and is a Tennis Canada Certified Instructor. He is an Assistant Tennis Professional and former player with the Otto Tennis Academy at the Winnipeg Winter Club where he helps train many of the top juniors in Manitoba. He has also acted as a Community Champion for Tennis Canada, where he was instrumental in winning the Tennis Canada Rookie BTC of the Year Award. Trevor has a wealth of knowledge teaching very young children, which he has developed through the WLTC, WWC and through his programs as Community Champion. Trevor is currently attending the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, where he is on Commerce Students Association (CSA) as the Marketing IT Coordinator. As an active member of the tennis community, Trevor sits on the Tennis Manitoba Board of Directors. Trevor is also member of the Wilson Advisory Tennis Staff.
Olga Berdynskykh- Tennis Assistant
Olga has been working as an Assistant Coach at the Winnipeg Winter Club since October 2009.
Professionally trained as a coach and as a player in one of the best sport school of the Eastern European block, National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine, She has competed in numerous tournaments in the Soviet Union and Ukraine.Olga has a wealth of experience and knowledge of coaching students of all levels, ages and abilities. Several of Olga’s students have achieved success on national, European and international levels.
Olga also has experience in organization and running tennis tournaments and the development of sports programs.
