Our 3100 square foot Fitness Centre, with fully equipped gym and separate aerobics studio is ideal for a complete workout.

We offer a wide range of fitness programming for adults, youth and children. Our programs include aerobics and spinning for cardiovascular fitness; pilates, yoga and yogaletes for balance, core strength and flexibility; muscle sculpt and circuit programs for weight training! If it's personal training you are looking for, our certified personal trainers are available to assist you by designing a program to meet your individual needs.

Jeff Mitchell - Fitness Director

Jeff graduated from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management in 2007.
Graduating as Kinesiology Graduate of the Year Jeff has always put emphasis on his education and continuing to learn and adapt as the industry grows and changes. Jeff has many years of personal training and health & fitness consultation experience working with a wide range of individuals.
Jeff has always been a committed athlete competing in a wide variety of sports from Hockey to Volleyball and everything in between, with his main love being for racquet sports. Jeff brings a friendly, positive attitude with him and is driven by a passion to help people live healthy & happy lives.

Meagan Wilson - Personal Trainer

Meagan lives by the philosophy that fitness should be part of a balanced active life style, not a short term solution. Her education is in Kinesiology and Applied Health, and she holds personal training certificates through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. She is also certified as a Sport Strength Level 1 Specialist, Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor.

In her 16 years of experience she has worked with the general population to elite athletes. She has performance training experience with aspiring athletes to professional athletes, including a season with the Manitoba Moose in 2010, several summers with NHL hockey players, pro handball players, and many other sports.

Angela Pringle - Personal Trainer

Angie completed her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg. As part of her degree she became a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

Angie is experienced with one-on-one, couple and group training and has worked with National & Provincial sports teams.

Her approach is simple. She intends to help every client find their own strength, balance, and sense of achievement through exercise. Through challenging workouts, Angie intends to push you to your limits when it’s beneficial for your goals. Her main goals in every session are to motivate and provide you with the education and continual reminders that exercise is a basic necessity.

Jackie Dobie - Personal Trainer

Jackie has been in the fitness industry for over 30 years and with the Winter Club since 2004. She holds certifications with the MFC and has a great deal of experience with a wide variety of styles of classes with one of her specialties being group training classes.

Over the past 30 years Jackie has worked with clients aged 14-90 years of age with a wide variety of goals.

Her philosophy is you can accomplish what you want, just put your mind and body into it.

Alexa Dutchak - Personal Trainer

Alexa has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Winnipeg and holds numerous certifications with the Manitoba Fitness Council while pursuing further certifications in the industry.

Alexa has over 2 years of instructing experience and brings a tough, creative, fun approach to her program design.

She believes you never know what your body is capable of until you push it to the next level!

She likes to challenge her clients in new ways to keep them motivated and interested in improving their lifestyle is a variety of different ways.

Jeff Eidse - Personal Trainer

Jeff has a BA in Kinesiology & Applied Health from the University of Winnipeg, and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. Through his schooling he has come to understand that everybody is unique and training programs need to cater to each person’s individuality in order to achieve their potential. With his sports and bodybuilding background, Jeff is not scared to give that little extra push to get you where you want to be.

Jeff has played and trained in a wide range of sports such as hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, bodybuilding, adventure racing, and bicycle touring.

Jeff has over four year experience working with cliental in a wide range, from injury rehab to weight-loss, from figure & bodybuilding athletes to mixed martial artists to your casual recreational athlete.

Barb Newman - Personal Trainer

Barbara currently holds six national and international fitness certifications as well as a Bachelor of Education Degree. She has spent over thirty years working in the field and has a wealth of experience. Barbara is the retired Chairperson of the Manitoba Fitness Council Standards Committee and served on the Board of Directors for four years.

She is a member in numerous fitness organizations. This keeps her abreast of the latest fitness related research.

Most of Barb’s clients are interested in general fitness, weight management or sport specific improvement.

Amanda Dennison - Personal Trainer

Amanda has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Athletic Therapy from the University of Winnipeg, where she learned about musculoskeletal injury prevention, assessment and rehabilitation. She is a certified Personal Trainer with CSEP and the Manitoba Fitness Council and has been training since 2010.

She has experience training groups and individuals with a variety of fitness goals, including weight-loss, improved athletic performance and an increase in muscle mass. She has worked with sports teams, including soccer, hockey, football and rugby teams.

Her training approach focuses on functional training that will translate into improved performance in all facets of life, be it work or play. Improved quality of life can be attained through exercise by anyone willing to work for it.

Ruth-Anne Penner - Personal Trainer

Ruth-Anne has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Certified Personal Trainer from the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. She is also a Certified Sports Conditioning Specialist from the National Sports Conditioning Association.


Ruth-Anne has nine years of experience teaching exercise classes and conducting assessments and programs for older adults, five years of experience teaching exercise and cardiac rehabilitation and four years of experience training sport specific athletes of various age groups and sports.


Ruth-Anne believes that educating participants and clients is just as important as getting them moving. Her goal is to help them learn why they should do certain exercises, which muscle groups they are targeting and how to execute each exercise with proper technique. When each client walks away knowing a bit more about their body, and how it works, then they can proceed in being more confident and independent in their own training.
