Fitness Centre Orientations

Be sure you know how to properly utilize a piece of fitness equipment and know what a certain machine can do for you.

Don’t get into bad habits or play the guessing game with your fitness routine, come down for a complimentary Fitness Centre orientation!

Summer 2014 Early Morning Fitness Programming

*Starting Wednesday, July 2nd and running until Wednesday, August 27th.

Mondays 6:30-7:30am ViPR Class
This 1 hour high energy workout is based around 1 piece of equipment:
the ViPR.  Lift, tilt, drag, and throw this exciting new training tool to drive metabolic cost in a whole-body workout that is innovative, dynamic and fun.
Instructor: Meagan Wilson
Cost: $105 (7 weeks)
Note: No class Monday, August 4, 2014.

Tuesdays  6:30-7:30am Meagan's Rise and Shine Ashtanga Yoga
Whether you are looking to improve your flexibility, body function, performance or to relief tension, yoga is a perfect way to compliment
your regular training. This class is designed for all levels and will leave you feeling rested, recovered and ready to perform!
Instructor: Meagan Wilson
Cost: $120 (8 weeks)

Wednesdays 6:15-7:15am Bootcamp Blitz
An early morning wake up call, this class is a circuit based approach,
that is high intensity to make sure all participants get the most out
of the class.
Instructor: Taylor Devlin
Cost: $90 (9 weeks)

Complimentary Fitness Programs for August 2014

Mondays 6:00-7:00pm TRX Boot camp
A speciality boot camp class with the main focus on stability and suspension training.  A good challenge for all levels of fitness.

Tuesdays  9:30-10:30am Studio Spin, Stamina and Stretch
A combination of studio based spin and cardio with a wide variety
of band and body weight training followed by a relaxing period
of stretching.

Tuesdays  6:00-7:00pm Crossfit / Tabatta Blast
A very high intensity workout which will challenge even the most conditioned individual!  This class will get you sweating and working hard as the instructor pushes you to your limits.

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm Circuit Circus
A member favourite for years, we will be running this circuit training class to get you all familiar with a wide variety of equipment and exercises in our fitness center while putting you through a great workout!

Thursdays  9:30-10:30am Summer Fitness Frenzy
A class that will have you using every inch of our fitness facility!  Designed to incorporate the Studio and the Gym throughout the workout.  Come ready to work hard and have fun.

YOGA & PILATES

ASHTANGA YOGA
To bring focus to your week and start the day off right with an Ashtanga yoga class with Meagan. Work out the tension during your week and renew your energy in this fabulous   yoga class!

INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED FUSION PILATES
This 60 minute class will take your pilates training to the next level. Utilize different equipment to practice a fusion of mat and reformer style resistance based pilates.  This workout will challenge the abdominal, gluteal and back muscles for a    total body workout!

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE YOGA & PILATES
We are pleased to now offer Private Pilates and Yoga sessions here at The Winnipeg Winter Club.
It is highly recommended that if you are looking to get into Pilates or Yoga that you start with a few private or small group classes to ensure that you are getting the most out of every class and every workout.

FITNESS TRAINING

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASS
This workout is designed for those who like to get a jump start to their day. Be prepared to work hard and see results from this intense one hour workout. This class will keep your heart rate elevated while combining weight training and aerobic exercises for maximal efficiency! Be prepared to work hard because our instructors will push you to bring out your very best!

STRETCH CLASSES

STRETCH SPECTACULAR
Offered right after both 9:30 am morning classes each     Monday, this is a class that will help stretch your mind and body. With an approach of going through a wide variety of stretches this 30 minute class will help your body relax and release the tension that has developed through a hard   workout.

60 MINUTE CIRCUIT TRAINING CLASS
Testing the limits with a total body workout, this class is geared to individuals with previous weight training             experience. It is challenging, educational, social and FUN! Participate 2-3 times/week for optimal results.

ACTIVE LIVING FOR OLDER ADULTS

"ACTIVE FUNCTIONAL LIVING FOR OLDER ADULTS"
For:       All members over 50 years of age.
When:  Tuesday @ 1:30pm & Fridays @ 11:00am.
Where:  All classes will be based out of the Fitness Studio.
Start Date:  October 14th, 2014
Cost: $7/class.
Trial offer: The first 2 classes at any time are complimentary for the members to try.

ACTIVE LIVING FOR KIDS

“KIDS OFF THE COUCH” PROGRAM
With more and more kids becoming sedentary it is extremely important to build fun into health and fitness.  This after school program is great for your kids to learn about healthy eating and development of proper movement patterns.  This program is designed to incorporate a wide variety of movements and fun activities for all boys and girls.

This fitness, cardio training class features a variety of       interval and aerobic exercises to music. Change up your aerobic training in this action packed class complete with a variety of resistance training exercises to sculpt you body!

An hour of resistance training and cardio challenges will kick your day off with a bang and send you into your weekend feeling worked and refreshed. Each week this class will present new challenges.

WWC TRX BOOTCAMP (MONDAY)
One hour packed full of suspension training to tone those muscles in a fun supportive atmosphere, followed by a    complete stretch and cool down.

STUDIO SPIN (TUESDAY)
This Spin class is sure to get your body sweating and you  huffing and puffing.  A series of intense intervals to challenge your muscular endurance and cardiovascular fitness.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA (TUESDAY)
This class is a great opportunity to unwind and stretch out your body after a long day.  Designed with all levels in mind this class is a great place to get started and progress with    yoga.

Train like never before as you work on agility, speed, strength and endurance in this moderate to high intensity timed      Interval circuit class.

CROSSFIT / TABATA TIMED TRIAL CLASS (THURSDAY)
If you are looking for a tough high intensity class then this is for you!  This fun new creative class throws a little bit of    everything at you.  High intensity intervals are sure to       challenge your cardio and muscular endurance.

SPOGA (FRIDAY)
A great way to kick off your weekend, this class is offered right after work and before our famous “Dinner at The Wint.”
Class is designed to be the perfect fusion of Spin and Yoga to leaving you feeling fatigued yet relaxed and rejuvenated when you leave.
