The 2018 Winnipeg Winter Club Women's Professional Squash Championships is less than one week away, with the event running from Feb. 1st-4th. The tournament features 2 highly seeded Canadians. Danielle Letourneau of Calgary is seeded number 2 for the event, while Nikki Todd of Saskatchewan is seeded 6th. Last year in 2017, Samantha Cornett of Ottawa became the first Canadian to win our event over it's 8 year history. The Canadians will have some tough competition this year, in particular from a few Egyptians including #1 seed Nadine Shahin and last years finalist Zeina Mickawy. The tournament is free for all to come out and watch. Play begins on Thursday and Friday at 5:30pm with the semi's getting underway on Saturday at 2:30 pm. The final will be a super bowl warm up beginning at 1:30pm on Sunday February 4th. Don't miss your chance to come and see some of the best squash in the world, here at the WWC!

The tournament runs Thursday February 1st- Sunday February 4th and admission is free!  We have 7 players ranked within the top 55 of the world coming to our tournament including number one seed Nadeen Shahin of Egypt and number two seed Danielle Letourneau of Canada! Letourneau will be joined by fellow Canadian Nikki Todd, as well as several Manitobans, who will be playing on the opening night, lead by Mb #1 Alix Younger. Play begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday and Friday. Saturday's Semi Finals begin at 2:30, while the final will take place at 1:30 pm on Sunday February 4th.
The Manitoba Closed Squash Championships will be running the same week for all of our local players. The tournament will run from Monday January 29th, through Sunday February 4th. Singles events for players of all abilities, Masters events, Junior events and doubles are all included in the tournament.
